Lack of Dental Services

Access to affordable dental care is a scarcity in communities around the country. Locally, a community dental clinic that served over 3500 patients annually closed in 2012 due to lack of funding, leaving low-income individuals without dental insurance with only a few limited options. CAJE asked the mayor, city council and county council to fund a dental referral program to promote a new dental clinic at ECHO Community Healthcare.
